Danley Introduces New Ground-Pounding TH121 Subwoofer featuring FaitalPRO’s flagship 21” low frequency driver.

Danley Sound Labs announces the release of the TH121 subwoofer. The TH121 utilizes Danley’s patented Tapped HornTM technology utilizing energy radiated from both the front and rear of the driver to coherently combine these energies for greater efficiency and deeper extension.

“When looking for the perfect subwoofer, most are looking for low, little, and loud,” said Mike Hedden, Chief Steward in Charge at Danley Sound Labs. “The TH121 subwoofer delivers in all of these areas. It is one of the first subwoofers in the world to use FaitalPRO’s new 21XL3000 driver.”

Powered by cutting-edge driver technology from FaitalPRO, the 21XL3000 is a 21” low frequency driver with a massive 6.5” (165mm) dual-layer voice coil. With this impressive driver and Danley’s patented technologies, the TH121 subwoofer delivers 3,000W AES continuous power handling and 6,000W program power handling all with a ground-pounding 24Hz – 90 Hz frequency range.

FaitalPRO’s program manager of research and development Davide Ballo agrees. In speaking about the driver’s design and partnership with Danley, Ballo said, “My focus with the 21XL3000 was to push the limits of loudspeaker technology, achieving stable behavior at high excursion through a strategic motor geometry and optimized suspensions. Special care was taken to guide airflow directly across the coil. In high-power applications like those used by Danley, this feature makes a measurable difference in keeping power compression under control. We have seen strong results in our tests and I’m looking forward to hearing it in Danley’s new TH121 subwoofer soon.”
